The Dallas Cowboys have finally made a move.
Unfortunately, it might be another case of “too little, too late.”
Jerry Jones promised his team would go “all-in” in the offseason, but that wasn’t the case.
This time, he promised the team would be “buyers, not sellers” ahead of the trade deadline, and he delivered.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cowboys have acquired WR Jonathan Mingo from the Carolina Panthers (via NFL on ESPN).

The Cowboys sent a 2025 fourth-round pick in return for the young wideout and a 2025 seventh-round pick.
Mingo still has two-and-a-half years left on his rookie contract.
He’s 23 years old, and he has showcased plenty of potential.
He hasn’t been able to consistently contribute to an offense that is ever-struggling and has plenty of problems in the passing game, but perhaps he can flourish elsewhere.
It won’t be with Dak Prescott, though, as the Cowboys’ franchise quarterback was just placed on Injured Reserve (IR) and will be out for at least four weeks.
The Cowboys didn’t have to give much to get a player with some upside, but it’s hard to think this move will turn their 3-5 season around.
On the other hand, the Panthers gave up on a second-round pick just one and a half seasons after taking him, which speaks volumes about his underwhelming play or the state of the organization.
By most standards, both teams seem unlikely to make the playoffs this season.
