It’s been eight weeks of NFL football, and the Carolina Panthers have yet to win their second game of the season.
Their lone win came with Andy Dalton at the helm, and Bryce Young now has a 2-19 record in his young career.
Nevertheless, other teams still feel like he can be fixed.
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, multiple teams have picked up the phone and inquired about the former No. 1 pick.
The Panthers, however, don’t seem to be interested in moving him, at least not during the season:
“The Panthers are getting multiple calls from teams interested in trading for former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young. At this time, Carolina is not considering moving him. The Panthers were encouraged by his improvements and overall commitment to the team in his return to the field last week. NFL executives around the league believe if Carolina decides to trade him they’ll get a better deal by waiting until offseason anyways,” Russini wrote on X.

Young is just 23 years old.
He’s not going to become taller all of a sudden, and his physical limitations aren’t going to go away.
Then again, it’s not like he would be the only short quarterback in league history, let alone the first to struggle early in his career.
As things stand now, the Panthers look like the most dysfunctional organization in professional football, and while he hasn’t played well at all, it’s hard to develop in that kind of environment.
Young was the No. 1 pick just last season, and it’s never wise to count out a quarterback so early into his career.
The Panthers might not be able to get a valuable return for their young signal-caller, and it might make more sense to continue to roll the dice and try to figure things out with him.
Of course, they will need to keep playing him for him to get better, so the Andy Dalton experiment might be short-lived.
